Sterling silver tea and coffee set. Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen. This service comprises 1 coffeepot, 1 teapot, 1 sugar, and 1 creamer.

Coffeepot is ovoid. All other pieces squat and curved. All handles scrolled with split tendril mount (coffeepot and teapot handles are part fluted and ebonized wood). All covers inset with ball finial. Coffeepot and teapot have stubby diagonal spouts. The creamer has v-spout. All pieces have foot ring. Hallmarks include pattern nos. 787 and 787A and designer’s monogram for Johan Rohde.

With: Sterling silver tray. Also by Georg Jensen. Circular with flat rim and tapering scroll handles terminating in flat balls. Hallmark includes pattern no. 847 and designer’s monogram for Harald Nielsen.

All together: Elegant and coherent with fluid curves and attractive hand hammering. Excellent condition.

Dimensions: Coffeepot: H 7 x W 6 7/8 x D 4 1/4 in. Teapot: H 4 1/4 x W 8 1/2 x D 6 in. Creamer: H 2 2/3 x W 5 x D 3 1/2 in. Sugar: 2 7/8 x D 4 1/4 in. Tray: H 1 1/8 x W 14 7/8 x D 13 1/3 in. Total weight: 85.3 troy ounces.
