NEW YORK - May 26, 2015 - PRLog -- The “2015 Real Estate Subway Series, Brooklyn Stop” engaged real estate investors and industry players in Brooklyn from 12pm to 6pm.  They converged  at the Dumbo Loft in 155 Water St, Brooklyn, New York.

David Drake, the Founder and Chairman of  LDJ Capital, The Soho Loft Media Group and Victoria Global, believes that this is a good time to get to know Brooklyn’s real estate market. He says,  “Brooklyn’s real estate market outperformed Manhattan in the 1st quarter of 2015. According to a first quarter report from Douglas Elliman, it shows that median prices have grown 17% versus Manhattan’s flat growth. Property turnover is also faster down 112 days which is a 14.5% improvement from last year.”

The event started with a sumptuous lunch where  participants networked with some of Brooklyn’s finest real estate experts. The opening remarks was given by Eric Adams, Brooklyn Borough President.

The panel discussions  started soon after, focused on “Blooming in Brooklyn: Retail Reborn in New York’s Legendary Borough”; “Brooklyn Bite’s, Opening, Building and Maintaining a Restaurant in NYC’s Foodie Borough”; “Building Brooklyn through Brokerage”; and “Leveraging the Benefits of Private Lending for Real Estate”.

The real estate financing panel discussed “Borrowing against personal assets, like stocks and bonds, to finance real estate while maintaining control of the underlying personal assets.” MPS Group has over $600 million in assets under management.

Two special presentations were made during the event. The first presentation was on “Investing in Paradise: Riviera Maya, Tulum and Playa De Carmen” by  Christopher Gil, Commercial Director of A-Nah Residences. Get away trips were also raffled off at the event.  The second presentation was on Property Shark 101 delivered by Derek Hall, Strategic Client Account Executive.

The world renowned abstract photographer Javier Gomez, considered  as People’s Magazine Sexiest Artist Alive,  attended the event. He is also  celebrating his new line “Duality” part of the Fendi Casa collection.  Heather “The Heat” Hardy, professional boxer at Gleason’s gym, was also present in the conference. He has  featured fights at the Barclay Center.

Participants that joined the  workshops earned up to 6 continuing education credits.

They also had a chance to contribute to a worthy cause with a live auction of portraits painted by Barneby Ruhe. .  The proceeds went to Sound Affects, a nonprofit changing how the war on cancer is fought and funded. All tickets purchased  entitled the participant to one raffle ticket,  with prizes including all inclusive trips to Mexico, Sports Jacket and Polo from Bucci.
