        Total outstanding student debt in the US stands at $1.2 trillion.  This number represents a full spectrum of impact, as recent college grads to senior citizens are struggling with student loan debt.  Over forty percent of borrowers are in deferment or forbearance where payments are suspended but interest continues to accumulate; making future payments higher and more difficult to manage.  More than ten percent of borrowers have already spiraled into default and at 6% - 8% interest rates, many more will follow.

There is no easy way out as private lenders may garnish wages, freeze bank accounts, circumvent Social Security benefits, and place liens on personal property.  Further, the debt cannot be discharged through bankruptcy.

         The MPOL team was spurred to action by the reality that recent grads (regardless of their age), who have faced the highest cost of education, will enter a job market that is underperforming in terms of wages.  They will endure high interest rates on significant loans.  Many will make income-adjusted payments only to find the loan growing, despite their best efforts.  It is a tough and complicated issue, but we are ready for the challenge! And until there is legislative change, we want to do our part to help.  Please join our movement.

        Often times, borrowers are facing such burdensome loans that a payoff seems impossible and default looms like a dark cloud.  It can feel like a prison.  Our organization is poised to shine the light of hope and self-empowerment by providing tactical solutions for attacking the debt from many angles, ultimately arriving at that payoff letter! One caveat – this is NOT a magic pill- poof, and the debt is gone!  The MPOL program is designed for responsible borrowers who are determined to drive through the debt more quickly and move on to more productive uses of their income.
