She is also the founder of the Writers Resource Center of Solano County and author of the memoir “Visions,” The event is being held by Excellence or Else, an organization devoted to personal empowerment and founded by local author and motivational speaker Belinda Bush. Bush wrote the bestseller “A Lifestyle of Excellence” and is also author of “The Helps Remedy.” She gives presentations throughout the county and around the country on personal, professional and spiritual development. # About Janie P. Bess is an author and community leader who has been recognized by California State Assembly Member Susan Bonilla and the Solano County Black Chamber of Commerce, among numerous other organizations, for her work. Her books include “Visions,” the story of her disabled son and her faith-inspired journey to find the resources needed to help him live an independent, productive life. She is also author of, “Wife In The P.I.,” an account of her life as a U.S. Air Force wife and her struggle to raise a family in the Philippines during the 1980s.
