Janie P. Bess to be Honored at “A Salute to Mothers” Luncheon

May 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Author and community leader Janie P. Bess will be one of the women honored at this weekend’s “A Salute to Mothers” luncheon, a special event highlighting the important role that moms hold in family and community life.  The affair will feature speakers, a fashion show, music and door prizes.  It will take place on Saturday, May 23, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, 1350 Holiday Lane, in Fairfield.  Please call 707-631-1929 for more information.

"I’ve been asked to be a special guest based on my work with young people, including my own children and with writers in the community,” says Bess, who is the mother of five children.  She is also the founder of the Writers Resource Center of Solano County and author of the memoir “Visions,” an account of her struggle to get services for her disabled son.

The event is being held by Excellence or Else, an organization devoted to personal empowerment and founded by local author and motivational speaker Belinda Bush.  Bush wrote the bestseller “A Lifestyle of Excellence” and is also author of “The Helps Remedy.” She gives presentations throughout the county and around the country on personal, professional and spiritual development.
