A Tribute to the King of the Blues: B.B. King

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - May 21, 2015 - PRLog -- WHAT:        On Wednesday, June 3^rd, 2015, Beat Brasserie (aka Beat Hotel), located in Cambridge’s Harvard Square, presents a modern tribute to the late blues great B.B. King with an evening of food and drink specials and live performances from Sugar Ray Norcia, Brian Templeton, Monster Mike Welch, Jesse Williams, Mark Textera, Bruce Bears and more featuring creative takes on some of the singer/songwriters’ most iconic work.

         An American Hall of Fame blues singer, songwriter and guitarist; B.B. King was also notably named number 6 of “the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” in 2006 by Rolling Stone.  King’s accomplishments are that of many, having been given the name “The King of the Blues,” he worked tirelessly through his career into his mid-70s, and has one of the most unique and recognizable as well as influential guitar styles to date. To honor the iconic musician and his recent passing, Bruce Bears will be accompanied by Sugar Ray Norcia, Brian Templeton and other artists as they take the stage at Beat Brasserie for a memorable tribute from 8:00PM – 12:00AM. Sugar Ray Norcia is an American electric and soul blues singer and harmonica player who is best known for working with his band, The Bluetones. Brian Templeton is also known for his harmonica playing, as well as his barrelhouse belting style of singing and exuberant onstage persona. Brian and Sugar Ray will be joining the legendary Bruce Bears along with Monster Mike Welch, Jesse Williams and Mark Textera.

While enjoying music, guests are welcome to a full dinner with selections such as the Sweet Chili Baby Back Ribs ($15), Buffalo Cauliflower ($11.50) with a blue cheese dipping sauce, andTexas Beef Brisket ($26) with whipped potatoes, grilled broccolini and sauce bordelaise.  Pair a meal with one of the 36 artisanal American wines on tap from their state-of-the-art tap system including exclusive selections such as the Anne Amie Winery Rosé (Pinot Gris), 2014 or theFrog’s Leap “Young Cabernet Sauvignon,” 2012.  Prices vary on wine selections on tap.
