Understanding ErP: Don’t miss the Plumb and Parts Center roadshows

ROYAL LEAMINGTON SPA, U.K. - May 21, 2015 - PRLog -- The roadshows started in mid-April at the Ricoh Arena and provided an opportunity for installers to understand the new EU Energy related Products (ErP) regulations, which come into force on 26^th September, and the implications for their businesses. Installers have been finding out which heating products will be affected, what manufacturers have been doing to prepare for these latest regulatory changes, and how Plumb and Parts Center and participating manufacturers are making understanding ErP as straightforward as possible.

The roadshow presentations make all these changes clear and show installers how to find the necessary tools and information to help their customers get the most out of the energy efficient products on the market.

Adam Richards from Falcon Gas Services attended the Birmingham roadshow and said, “I didn’t know much about ErP before the event and it’s great to have more knowledge. It won’t be as hard as I thought it would be. The presentations made it easy to understand and it won’t be too hard to add this to the installation and benchmarking requirements where necessary.”

Ayden Underwood of Gas Services Tamworth agreed, “I was aware of ErP but concerned about what I would need to do. However the presentations explained the process and it will become easier once we start. We do a lot of commercial work and I will be using this knowledge to help me educate companies keen to save money.”

Chris Roberts of Chris Roberts Plumbing & Heating Ltd was also aware of ErP before attending, “The evening was definitely useful, clarified a lot of things and I can’t see any issues going forward. Our customers are becoming more aware of energy efficiency and this should help them make better choices and have confidence that we are giving them the best options that suit their needs.”
