Fund Manager retains its ‘Strong’ rating

MELBOURNE, Australia - May 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Australia Ratings ranks Fund Manager, La Trobe Financial Asset Management with a ‘Strong’ rating.

The rating was given because of a number of operational components including compliance, financial adequacy and stability of the La Trobe Financial Group. This is the second time Australia Ratings has ranked the Fund with a ‘Strong’ rating.

Australia Ratings commented in its report: “[La Trobe Financial] has demonstrated a good operating capability, contributing to the La Trobe Financial Group’s successful 62-year track record following the recent financial crisis. Key to La Trobe Financials’ sound operation is the experience and knowledge of its management together with its approach in choosing the right mortgages to match investor appetite.”

Unlike many other mortgage funds, the La Trobe Australian Mortgage Fund (the Fund) has never frozen or restricted redemptions or reduced distributions due to liquidity concerns. Tight controls over its operating policies has enabled the Fund to continue operating while other mortgage funds froze their operations.

The report further stated “…experienced staff and a diligent management team have demonstrated a consistent and prudent approach in managing the Fund. The Fund’s consistent performance is attributed to sound management of risk and compliance management, systematic governance, and a stable financial profile.”

La Trobe Financial has also been strongly rated by other independent Rating Houses as follows:

Zenith – Recommended; and

SQM Research – Superior 41/4 Stars

Several Rating Houses have similarly identified the strong capability of La Trobe Financial as a Fund Manager, identifying the key strengths of its experienced and skilled individuals and demonstrated a consistent track record of performance, even in a volatile economic market and the underlying structure of the investments. Australia Ratings points out in its report “…consistent performance in difficult market conditions and stable processes and procedures are considered by Australia Ratings to represent a Very Strong designation on the … ranking scale.”
