eWriteSteps Named 2015 REVERE Award Finalist

WASHINGTON - May 20, 2015 - PRLog -- WriteSteps is pleased to announce that eWriteSteps was selected as a REVERE Awards finalist in the Classroom Competition Whole Curriculum Category/Reading and Language Arts subcategory. eWriteSteps was designed to help K-5 educators enhance their writing instruction by using the daily lessons created with writing best practices to improve student writing skills.

The REVERE (Recognizing Valuable Educational Resources) Awards recognize creative resources that engage 21st century teachers and learners. Produced by the Association of American Publishers (AAP) PreK-12 Learning Group, the awards are the only of their kind to recognize learning resources in all media, for all ages, and covering a wide array of educational subject areas and learning environments.

“We’ve always believed that eWriteSteps is a great asset to a student’s education,” said Suzanne Klein, Founder and CEO. “To be recognized for a REVERE Award is further acknowledgement that our hard work is making a difference for a new generation of learners.”

eWriteSteps is an evidence-based, 100% Common Core writing and grammar program for grades K-5. The comprehensive program gives teachers and students everything they need to develop their craft with confidence.  The digital curriculum can be used with interactive whiteboards, visual projectors, computers, tablets, iPads, and document cameras.

REVERE Award finalists were chosen by evaluation of quality content and design, audience engagement and appropriateness, usability and originality and effectiveness, along with comments and recommendations given by judges. More than 100 evaluators in the education and publishing industries judged the applications.  Winners will be announced during the REVERE Awards Gala on June 3 in Washington, DC.

About WriteSteps

In 2007, WriteSteps Founder and CEO Suzanne Klein committed herself to creating teacher-friendly writing lessons after her school decided to prioritize writing due to low student outcomes. The writing program she developed - WriteSteps - was so successful in raising test scores and student confidence that the company expanded its scope to refocus instruction on the Common Core State Standards for writing and grammar. Its Common Core release won a "Best of Entrepreneurs" Award from Ann Arbor SPARK in 2010 and launched nationwide in September, 2011.
