WASHINGTON - May 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Enjoy $3 savings per book during Introductory Period!

Micro Center (http://www.microcenter.com/), the computer and technology retailer with
25 locations in 16 states, is now carrying the award-winning line of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) books from independent publisher Science, Naturally!

These books, for kids 8-14, provide excellent tools to stimulate kids’ minds and promote inquiry. Science Naturally! titles are a great addition to Micro Center’s selection of computer and technology books.

Young visitors will also enjoy solving the challenges in the Daily Circuit (https://www.sciencenaturally.com/files/Micro%20Center%20Activity%20Sheet_0.pdf), Science, Naturally’s two-page activity sheet. Filled with one minute mysteries, pop quizzes, puzzles, and more, the activity sheet is a great way for kids to stay busy in the store and learn something new. The Daily Circuit can be downloaded, free of charge, from the Science, Naturally (http://www.sciencenaturally.com/) website.

Leonardo da Vinci Gets A Do-Over (http://www.sciencenaturally.com/node/156)is just one of the great books from Science, Naturally, that will now be available in each of the 25 Micro Center stores.

In this new work of fiction, the artist, anatomist, engineer and inventor finds out, on his death bed, that his birth was a mistake… because the technology of his day was not commensurate with his genius. He is granted a do-over, but it comes with one condition—he must do something brilliant (no pressure!).
As you can imagine, when he appears in Florence, in the year 2000, he has a lot of catching up to do!

Educators make up a big part of Micro Center’s shoppers. Being able to browse and purchase these resources will give these educators new and clever ways to engage, excite, and educate their students. With Summer Reading just around the corner, Back to School not far away, and the holidays here before we know it, these books are expected to be strong sellers.

"These books are some of the most engaging nonfiction books I have ever read! They correlate so well with our science curriculum and the Common Core State Standards. The reason we love them is because they have real-world applications. Science, Naturally!’s books are an excellent asset to our teachers' resource libraries!" says Sonya Smith, Science Field Coordinator at ATOMS2XP (Advancing Teachers of Middle School Science) and IMPACT2 (In-depth Mathematical Practices and Content Teacher Training), at  Mississippi State, MS.

“We are delighted with the Micro Center partnership,” says Dia L. Michels, founder and president of Science, Naturally, located in Washington, DC. “Our books are used widely in schools, have been adopted by many homeschoolers
and are favorites of librarians, but this arrangement makes the books widely available to consumers nationwide. No other chain carries our full line of books in each store. It’s a win-win for everyone.” Science, Naturally’s books retail from $9.95 to $12.95. The books will be available in all Micro Center stores in April. All books will be discounted $3 through May 31.

Micro Center will be carrying this and six other titles from Science, Naturally! (http://www.sciencenaturally.com/),an independent press committed to increasing STEM literacy, with a focus on presenting complex science and math topics in accessible and engaging ways.

Science, Naturally produces both fiction and non-fiction books (and ebooks) for upper elementary and middle school kids. Their signature series, One Minute Mysteries (http://sciencenaturally.com/node/76),presents kids with short mysteries they need math or science to solve. Their books have earned the Outstanding Science Trade Books for Kids designation from the National Science Teacher’s Association (NSTA) and the Children’s Book Council (CBC), have been honored with Book of the Year (Creative Child magazine), recognized by the Best Books Awards and are recommended by Science and Science News Magazines.

The content in all of Science, Naturally’s books aligns with the Common Core State Standards and correlates to the Next Generation Science Standards. Supplemental resources include glossaries, indices, and extensive Teacher’s Guides (downloadable, at no cost, from their website) complete with a myriad of hands-on activities.
