LONDON - May 19, 2015 - PRLog -- SMi are thrilled to announce that an exclusive interview with Ensemble Therapeutics' SVP Biological Sciences, Stephen Hale, has just been released. Stephen will be speaking on day 1 of the conference and his presentation entitled Libraries of DNA Encoded Peptidic Macrocycles for Drug Discovery will look at topics such as; large libraries of synthetically-accessible peptidic macrocycles facilitate hit identification; Interrogating encoded libraries is a rapid and massively parallel process and practical applications of Ensemble’s discovery platform.

When asked what new developments have impacted the peptides industry, he said:

“New developments that specifically impact the therapeutic discovery segment of the peptide industry are the introduction of nucleic-acid-encoded libraries of peptides/peptidomimetics and the advancement of predictive algorithms to enhance drug-like properties of newly identified hit series.”

Upon what he thinks attendees will take away from his talk? He commented:

“The attendees should come away with an appreciation that the pairing of both the ability to generate and screen large libraries of macrocyclic peptides has enabled an efficient and productive drug discovery platform. Additionally, that the chemical series identified during the discovery process are amenable to modification toward a drug-like candidate using available medicinal chemical processes.”
