MUMBAI, India - May 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Fortis Hospitals Mumbai celebrate International Nurses’ Day

May 19th, 2015, Mumbai: As part of the nationwide Fortis Network celebrations to mark International Nurses Day, a special function to felicitate Nurses and acknowledge their contributions of selfless service towards patient-care, was hosted across all four units in Mumbai. Week long celebrations that extend till the end of the week include talent development, skill development and engaging sessions focusing on ‘Nurses Being the Force of Change’.

In addition, various fun competitions including talent hunt, poetry, dance & model making competition, movie marathon and others were organized. Special sessions on Art of Living – ‘Nurses Need Nurturing Too’ and a panel discussion – ‘Nurses, A Force for Change: care effective & cost effective’ were also organized, with over 900 nurses being a part of the celebrations and discussions.

The event witnessed tremendous participation from the audience further encouraging the nurses to contribute their best. International Nurses Day is celebrated every year on the 12^th of May to commemorate the birth anniversary legendary Florence Nightingale, the founder of Modern nursing.
