MEDFIELD, Mass. - May 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Is it time to make some changes in your home? If you're feeling like your home has lost its "charm," it may be time to update the style of the interior of your home. Here are some of the most prevalent décor trends that have been surfacing so far in 2015:

Long Drapes.

A stately, long drape can certainly dress up any room in your home, as long as it is done correctly. The trick is avoiding overbearing patterns and elaborate rods if you're trying this style tip. Before you go ahead and buy your new drapes, take a look around at the room's current décor and determine if it will actually work with the room instead of against it.

Gallery Walls.

Gallery walls have become increasingly popular and vary in how they are styled and arranged. A good gallery wall includes a mix of pictures and objects so that the entire wall isn't washed into the background. The mix of items should also be arranged in an unorganized pattern to create the playful theme the wall is supposed to evoke. Making a gallery wall within your home can create a little bit of fun chaos between everything else that's orderly.

Pallets.

If you're looking for a fun DIY project, pallets might be all that you need. Pallets are usually free and can be transformed into a working piece of furniture easily. Of course, you'll need to transform the pallet by adding other materials onto it such as, inlaid metal or casters. The trick with these is to keep the rustic pallet look but to transform them enough so that they are a functional piece of furniture within your home.

Distressed Furniture.

Rather than just kicking old furniture to the curb, homeowners have been opting to distress their already tired furniture in order to save it. A piece of distressed furniture gives instant character to a plain room and can be a great conversation piece, especially if you make it yourself. Further distressing an already older piece of furniture can add depth and texture to the piece that it didn't have before.

Accent Walls.

Creating an accent wall can be a fun project and a simple way to transform a room. Accent walls are a great way to show off an interesting area in your home, and can be a great way to tie a room together. Before you go ahead and paint, you'll have to consider patterns, hues, and placement so that your accent wall works!

If you're feeling ambitious and bold, don't be afraid to spruce up your home with these new trends! Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for even more décor ideas for 2015 – there's bound to be much more!
