Fox Hills Expands Popular FootGolf Trend to GLOW FootGolf

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - May 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center was the first Michigan course in 2014 to bring FootGolf to the golf course. This new trend expanded quickly attracting young children to families forming groups to come out to the course and play golf, with their feet. Not yet the avid golfer but still love to bring out on the course and have a great time, the millennials are dominating in the Footgolf field and tend to be the majority of participants in tournaments and leagues throughout the summer months.

FootGolf is a combination of the very popular sports of soccer and golf played on a golf course on shortened holes with 21-inch diameter cups. Because of the demand, Fox Hills has now expanded to offering FootGolf Leagues this summer along with GLOW FootGolf, golfing at night, with a glowing soccer ball.

The cost of FootGolf is fairly lower than your average round of golf and the game moves a bit quicker as the soccer balls are launched down the Par 3. Glow FootGolf will be offered on Friday, June 5 and Friday, July 31^st at 9pm and will be $40 per person. This cost also includes dinner, ball rental, a glow necklace and FootGolf for 18 holes on the Par 3 course.

“We had such amazing success with bringing FootGolf here last year we had to bring it back again, and wanted to make things fun and entertaining for those that want to come out with a group of friends on a Friday night,” says owner, Sandy Mily. “We have now hosted FootGolf fundraisers, tournaments and expanding to the GLOW concept is something different and fun to offer our customers and community.

These rules are similar to the rules of golf. FootGolf is a game that is played throughout the world in many different forms, but as a sport, it is regulated by the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG). This game is widely popular in youth, both boys and girls and is becoming popular across the United States and internationally.

The American FootGolf League (AFGL) is the exclusive member of the FIFG and governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the United States. The AFGL is organizing tournaments throughout the country working with golf courses to bring FootGolf to their clubs as another avenue for revenue and to develop the game further. Fox Hills Golf Course is currently looking into hosting a tournament for the AFGL and bringing the sport of FootGolf to the state of Michigan.

The 2015 Junior Programs include programs available for youth ages 3-17, Junior Strategic Fox Summer Leagues, Junior Match Play, week long Junior Day Camps, Elite Team Training, Junior Memberships, private lessons and more.
