Halff Associates Promotes Mark Edwards to Management Team

RICHARDSON, Texas - May 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the nation’s leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, has announced the promotion of Mark Edwards, Halff’s Vice President of Oil and Gas Services, to the firm’s management team.  Halff’s board of directors, with the support of the management team, appointed Mr. Edwards to the management team as Executive Vice President.

“Mark has proven himself to be an instrument of growth for Halff.  He thinks strategically and innovatively about ways to move Halff forward,” said Chairman of the Board Walter Skipwith.  “Mark is also highly invested in the guidance and development of our greatest asset, our people.  He is the second graduate of Halff’s Leadership Development program to move into a position on the Management Team.”

Mr. Edwards has been instrumental in expanding Halff’s oil and gas service line.  In 2014, under his leadership, Halff acquired TriTex Technologies, Inc., a Dallas-based oil and gas engineering design firm.  This acquisition formed Halff TriTex, LLC, and added 20 employees to strengthen and expand Halff’s oil and gas industry capabilities.

In Mr. Edwards’ role on the management team, he will continue to oversee the oil and gas teams in Richardson and Oklahoma City; the surveying teams in Richardson, Midland, and Huntsville; the environmental teams in Richardson and Austin; and the startup of Halff’s Oklahoma City office.  He will also assume oversight of the building services teams.

The inclusion of Mr. Edwards on Halff’s management team will create a five-person team.  The other members include President Pat Kunz, Chief Operating Officer Roman Plugge, Executive Vice President Russell Killen, and Chief Marketing Officer Greg Kuhn.

Mr. Edwards joined Halff Associates in 1990.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in geology from Louisiana State University.  He is a Registered Professional Geologist in the states of Texas and Wyoming.  He served as a board member of the North Texas Gas Processors Association from 2011-2013.
