Local Palo Alto Orthodontist to Surprise Two Students at Eastside School with No-Cost Braces

PALO ALTO, Calif. - May 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Dr. Eric Wu of Wu Orthodontics founded the local Midpeninsula Chapter of Smile for a Lifetime, a non-profit organization providing no-cost braces to underserved youth.  On May 28^th, Dr. Wu and his team will visit Eastside College Preparatory School in Palo Alto to give a surprise announcement to two of the newest orthodontic scholarship recipients.

The Smile for a Lifetime national foundation provides hundreds of orthodontic scholarships each year to children through local U.S. Chapters. Each Chapter has its own Board of Directors who chooses the patients to be treated by the Foundation. The Midpeninsula Chapter of Smile for a Lifetime aims to award 6 children with no cost braces this year.

“Smile for a Lifetime is truly a rewarding venture. Seeing the kids’ confidence levels grow with every visit to my office is indescribable.  I can’t wait to surprise the two newest scholarship recipients at their school,” says Dr. Eric Wu.

Recipients of the award are selected based on financial and orthodontic need, community involvement and letters of recommendation.
