By: Once Upon a Time Nostalgic Fairs “What a year it’s been!” said organiser Rosemary Hallett, from Once Upon A Time Nostalgic Fairs. “We started the flea markets in May 2014 with just 30 stallholders, wondering how it would all go. Now a year later, every market is fully booked with at least 60 stallholders, and a waiting list. A bit of a 'runaway success' really! “Our stallholders and buyers come from all over the South West. Each flea market we hold seems to bring more visitors,” said Rosemary. “I think people love the idea that they don’t know what they will find. It’s a bit like a treasure hunt!” Items for sale at the flea markets include everything from vintage and retro household goods, to beautiful handmade crafts and painted furniture. Stallholders at the event on 31st May include Sorella Living, Gorgeous Old French Stuff, The Green Barrow, The Shed and Sitting Pretty, Vanessa Cakes, Clarey’s Celandine Cake House, Crow’s Nest, Margaret Squance, Sue Heyland, Peter Cook, Jake’s Bakes and many more including Exmoor Huts, with their beautiful traditional shepherd huts. The flea market on Sunday 31st May is open from 10 am – 3 pm. Entry is free. For information please contact Rosemary Hallett on 07989 619745. Further flea markets are due to be held in South Molton Pannier Market on 28th June, 13th September and 29th November 2015. Editors’ notes 1. Photo attached – 1.
