Incorporating and interrelating all her works into one representation of the multi-dimensional beauty that is Human Spirit, Lily Ann suffuses her realization of the spiritual into whichever media she’s working in.  As an artist, she is living life on “both sides,” brushstrokes on canvas or penning free verse or composing music revealing her experiential understanding of what lies beyond what we collectively call “reality.”

“I was pronounced dead, covered-up & headed for the morgue when I simply came back into my body,” says Lily Ann, having self-resuscitated after attempts to revive her had failed following complications suffered during childbirth. “That’s why everything I create—be it my art, my musicals or my books—shares that gift of Life given me by my Creator, and shares with the world the wonders that are our Universe.”

With her verses of poetry in Soulmates: A Poetic Journey and Beyonde: Visions & Verses, Lily Ann creates pulses of music to the ear & mind, which she in-turn translates into the visual splendor of the vibrant colors in her contemporary abstract paintings: Her experiences in other dimensions has gifted her with an innate ability to infuse her art with the beauty of the other side, translating ethereal experiences of what lies beyond this dimension into a broader understanding of Self.

“Words are music to me,” writes the author in the introduction to Soulmates, “and if the words in my poetry dance for you, they are meant to. With this book, I also wanted to share with you both my reality and my fantasy about soulmates, with an understanding that—if a couple can withstand the ‘ride to a perfect love’—it is the greatest gift the Primordial Source has bestowed upon us, other than the Gift of Life itself.”
