Apps World North America and AngelHack Announce The Winners of the Apps World 2015 Hackathon

SAN FRANCISCO - May 15, 2015 - PRLog -- The teams from Apps World North America and AngelHack http://angelhack.com/ have revealed the winners of the Apps World 2015 Hackathon. More than 70 developers worked over the course of two days and presented 13 ideas to an elite panel of judges. Sponsors of the hackathon including Honda, WaveMaker, Mojio and Microsoft Azure offered up five different challenges for the developers to tackle. “The Hackathon continues to be a highlight of the Apps World series globally and is a chance for developers to do what they do best – CODE,” said Louise Turton, marketing director at Apps World. “This year’s event was supported by a group of amazing partners who brought about challenges that inspired true innovation. We saw some awesome ideas come across the judging booth and every participant was highly engaged and really delivered on these unique challenges.”

In addition to the grand prize some of the winning ideas included:

·       Honda – Authenticator allows drivers to unlock their car with a fingerprint.

·       Microsoft Azure – Smart Glasses help policeman better serve citizens.

·       Wavemaker – H2Know analyzes water usage to help save money.

“Having the chance to not only see these young minds at work, but also hear and judge each idea was an honor to be a part of,” said Sabeen Ali, CEO of AngelHack. “This was truly an amazing event that gave all of us a chance to explore and exchange our points of views across the App World ecosystem and we are looking forward to what comes out of the London event in the fall.”

Apps World 2015 London https://www.apps-world.net/europe/ will take place on the 18th - 19th November 2015 at ExCel in London. Following on from the success of previous years the 2015 installment is set to be the biggest yet with 12,000 attendees and over 350 exhibitors expected. The two day conference will offer keynote talks from industry leading speakers, showcase indie developers and run interactive workshops.
