Snell & Wilmer Partner Cary Jones is Univ. of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law Alumnus of the Year

LOS ANGELES - May 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Los Angeles partner Cary Jones (http://www.swlaw.com/attorneys/cary_jones) is the recipient of the University of S.J. Quinney College of Law Alumnus of the Year award. Jones received the award during the college’s annual Alumni Dinner at Rice-Eccles Stadium on the University of Utah Campus on Thursday, May 14, 2015.

Established in 1913, the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law (http://www.law.utah.edu/) is nationally recognized for its outstanding academic reputation, stellar faculty, small student population, low student-to-faculty ratio, innovative curriculum and stunning location.

Jones received his juris doctor from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 1976, where he served as Note Editor of the Utah Law Review and as a member of the Order of the Coif. Jones earned his bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Utah. He served as an adjunct professor for the Unversity of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law from 2002 to 2008 where he was a recipient of the Peter W. Billings Excellence in Teaching Award.

At Snell & Wilmer, Jones is the administrative partner of the Los Angeles office. Areas of concentration for his practice include real estate transactions, focusing in resort, hotel, retail and office development and disposition; office/retail leasing; zoning and land use; partnerships and joint ventures; real estate financing and construction. Jones has represented clients in the ski resort, office, manufacturing and retail industries, among others.
