ATLANTA - May 14, 2015 - PRLog -- The Netherlands American Chamber of Commerce for the Southeastern United States (NACCSE), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Coen Vrolijk as the Chamber’s new President and Mr Chris Hopkins as the Chamber’s Vice President effective May 12th 2015.

After serving two consecutive terms, both President Jan Willem A. Smeulers (KLM Royal Dutch Airlines) and Vice President Pieter van der Toorn (Interface Services) handed over the reigns to the new President, Coen Vrolijk and Vice President Chris Hopkins at the Annual Members Meeting on May 12th 2015. . Their appointment was confirmed by a unanimous vote. Jan Willem A.Smeulers: “Pieter and I have enjoyed serving as your Presidents and we look forward to remaining involved in the Chamber. We wish both Coen and Chris great success in their upcoming tenure.”

Coen Vrolijk serves as General Manager, North America & Europe and Global Product Manager, Seafood for AJC International, an Atlanta based leading global marketer of frozen proteins. In accepting his new position as President, Coen stated: “In recent years the NACCSE has become a leading Chamber in the United States. The quality of the events, information exchange and member companies have created a highly effective network to facilitate business for Dutch and American companies with an interest in, or based in the South Eastern states of the USA. I am honored to contribute to the Chamber and build its foundation further.”

Chris Hopkins serves as Director of US Corporate and Cash Management at Western Union Business Solutions. “It has been such a pleasure working with the chamber over the past five years.  Through great leadership and continued contributions from its members, the chamber has grown to be one of the most recognized in the country. We will continue to offer a conduit in the marketplace where corporations and individuals can come for education, entertainment and a friendly environment to conduct business.”

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Jan Willem A. Smeulers and Pieter van der Toorn for their leadership, dedication and support during these past years. Both Jan Willem and Pieter will still active members of the Executive committee.

Coen Vrolijk serves as General Manager, North America & Europe and Global Product Manager, Seafood for AJC International, an Atlanta based leading global marketer of frozen proteins. With a team of 28 different nationalities the company conducts business in over 125 countries around the world. A native of Eindhoven, the Netherlands, Coen joined AJC International in Maastricht, The Netherlands in 1997 after graduating from Wageningen University with a Masters degree in Animal Husbandry. In 1999 Coen moved to Atlanta and since has served in various commercial leadership positions in Sales and Purchasing for AJC’s business in Asia, Europe, Caribbean, Mexico and North America. Coen resides in Atlanta with his wife Allison and their three boys, Robbie, Alex and Steven.

Chris Hopkins serves as Director of US Corporate and Cash Management at Western Union Business Solutions. Chris Hopkins works closely with companies of all sizes to help them develop their foreign exchange strategy, automate and improve their International payment processes, and implement cash management best practices. In his five years at Western Union Business Solutions, Chris
has refined his approach to serving corporate clients through countless successful relationships and partnerships. In each of his relationships, Chris consults everyone from executives to end- users to ensure that the solutions he provides meet each of an organization’s needs—then supports them with the same superior level of personal service and attention. Previously, Chris worked in fixed income sales at Bear Stearns. Originally from Orlando FL, Chris studied Financial Planning at the University of Alabama. He lives in Atlanta.
