Are E magazines a new way to advertise?

PALM HARBOR, Fla. - May 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Since the internet became mainstream companies have levereged its capacity to reach out to more and mor edecison makers.  E-magazines are nothing new but with the constant update of technology it seems this is a smart choice but some feel it has lost its way.  Let's face it no one reads hard copies of magazines anymore as they are too expensive to make, buy, and advertise in.  I think the last time i picked up a physical magazine was while waiting in a doctors office seven months ago.

With everyone now holding an android or smartphone they have the digital print at their finger tips.  So why this article you ask?  I still believe tht E-Magazines will stanf the test of time.  Everyone is so Eco-Friendly these days and the cost to print a physical magazine outways the profit in most cases.  i feel that the most important marketing tool is thill and forever will be EXPOSURE.  Think about it!  I watched the latest American Idol finals last nite and it got me to thinking.  In 16 weeks or so (how ever long it runs), these nobodies became somebody because they were put on a medium this one being television.  Every one in the top 20 will be much better off financially now that they have been on the show and viewed by Millions worldwide.  Another example would be you tube and or viral videos.  These things get millions of hits in a very short period of time...you cant buy that kind of exposure.  So with that being said I sitll think that if a business is looking to expand or grow its sales it should not discount online publications.  Yes social Media is a buzzword now, but that somply is not enough.  Take a look at who you sell to or who you wish to sell to and find out how to get infront of them online.  A lot of E-magazines target specific niche's so find yours and explore.  Some may be very expensive and cost prohibited for your firm but if you look i bet you can find those Diamonds in the ruff that are cost effective.  I am a small business in the Government contracting arena and i take it i am not the only one who gets multiple calls per day from consulting firms offering to help you sell to the Government for 6K or more.  This is expensive for a small business and results take sometime to be seen.  Anyway, staying with the U.S. government contracting space as an example.  It is very lucrative for those that get exposed to the buyers that make the decisions.  Doing this is not easy and if you go it alone without the know how it can be lengthy.  Now back to the E-magazine discussion...If you are looking to gain that must have Government buyers, decision maker, and influencer exposure then take a look at govtsuppliermag.com.  Seems to be low cost with tremendous upside in gaining exposure.  I am not promoting them just came across it and thought it was a great example of a low cost effective way for businesses to go from startup to stardom in the government contracting arena.
