By: National Black MBA Association During the 45th Anniversary Gala Celebration, the NBMBAA will launch a $1,000,000 endowment campaign to support Leaders of Tomorrow® (LOT) Scholarships that will help the organization continue to be a positive force in the lives of youth in minority communities. The endowment creates a scholarship in perpetuity. “We are extremely proud to host our 45th Anniversary Gala Celebration in Chicago where the organization got its start and maintains its national headquarters” For 45 years, the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) has dedicated itself to the promotion of African American intellectual and economic wealth as well as empowerment and professional advancement. The Association has awarded over $5 million dollars in scholarships to minority students participating in both undergraduate and graduate programs around the world. Today, the organization reaches over 30,000 with 10,000 active members across 46 chapters internationally and 28 collegiate chapters along with 300 corporate partners. The origins of the NBMBAA can be traced back to a historical 1970, two-day conference held at the University of Chicago. This event brought together prestigious institutions including Harvard University, Northwestern University, Cornell University, Indiana University, Wayne State University, Loyola University and others.
