Follow on Google News | Bailey’s Fine Jewelry’s Donates $11,000 to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North CarolinaBy: Bailey's Fine Jewelry The meal donations are made through the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina via Feeding America and the meals are distributed to various food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, children’s programs and elderly care programs throughout the area. Distributing 53.6 million pounds of food last year, the Food Bank provides more than 150,000 pounds of food each day to the 34 counties it serves. In those 34 counties, more than 651,000 live in food insecure households, including 212,510 children and 44,853 elderly. “We’re so grateful to Bailey’s for continuing their commitment to the Food Bank and feeding hungry families in our community,” said Peter Werbicki, president and chief executive officer of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Bailey’s unique program invites patrons to Share the Love they feel during such a special time in their lives with others in need. Bailey’s Signature Collection of wedding bands and engagement rings are unique and each one is made entirely in America. “The Share the Love campaign is about doing our part to help local families,” said Doug Morgan, director of community relations for Bailey’s Fine Jewelry. “We’re blessed to be a part of such great communities and are thrilled to have been able to donate $11,000 in 2014 to fight hunger here at home in those communities.” The Share the Love campaign is one of many philanthropic projects taken on by Bailey’s, including the successful A Time to Give program in which patrons can receive a free watch battery in exchange for a donation to a selected charity. Bailey’s has raised over $231,000 through A Time to Give. The Share the Love campaign is currently in effect at all five Bailey’s Fine Jewelry locations. End
