Detect(ive) evil - A series of true stories by Claudio Biesele / Fifth Part

After the 2nd World War my grandfather didn’t stop to fight Nazis - in this case even in the Sixties and Seventies he was tireless to find out more about people who committed crimes in a moral sense by practising Anti-Semitism.

ZURICH - May 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Once he described a german as Gauleiter because he had written about Jews in a way that I would recognize as racist.

As we know people who are keen to fight fascists are good for media but no good for real life. But all those fighters know the danger from personal experiences - my grandfather knew that from 2nd World War, where he hided Jewish students to protect them from the SS. And that means he had no tolerance for further Nazi actions in a civilized world - using old relationships, organization and crime to create little right-wing family leaders and empires in our modern society of democracy and justness.

And that’s why it is not a surprise one day I also had to make a decision. In the seventies I had a dispute with my grandfather about the industrial espionage (Mirage engine plans were copied in Switzerland and then delivered to a german go between before they were turned over to the Israel Air Force). Following Swiss media at that time I had my doubts about the justification of that illegal act. My grandfather answered excited: “Should they jump into the sea!?”

I was sorry about that but the real thing I learned at that moment was: The real enemy is often closer then you think - and I am not the enemy. A certain time later (I think we talk about a few days) my grandfather received death threats by phone call. The criminal on the phone said, he had hidden the industrial spy under the roof of his house. I remember that so well because the Police officers were still present when my grandfather triggered alarm.

In fact my grandfather did that but in the Netherlands and not with a Swiss spy but with Jews. As a generous man he supported the poor family of the Swiss spy with several thousand Swiss francs. Because he knew. For this family there was no more future in Switzerland. Possibly on that score somebody felt obliged to threat my grandfather with dead.

But where came all this - partial very detailed - information from? About the financial support I found out more than thirty years later. Nobody in the family talked ever about that. Well it must have been somebody who is close to the family - as my father was and still is.

Read next time about further actions how to take care of teenagers.
