PARIS - May 13, 2015 - PRLog -- New US Facility

A new Aero Sekur Inc. facility is announced located in Pensacola, USA. Designed to provide enhanced levels of aftermarket support for the company’s products in America, spare parts stocks are available for same day despatch. With training and maintenance capabilities, the subsidiary will provide support to both operators and repair facilities. Military operators for the company’s maintenance shelters and environmental conditioning units will be supported by the new facility with repair and overhaul capability, spares and training.

Landmark AW169 Flotation System Ground Test

The company has also developed a flotation system family to be adopted across the AgustaWestland 139, 169 and 189 platforms. As part of the qualification process for the product range, successful ground testing has taken place for the AW169. This is a significant landmark reported by Aero Sekur that will be followed by full qualification.  Commenting on the advancement, Roberto Simonetti ‎Head of Strategic Marketing for Aero Sekur said:

“The design philosophy adopted by Aero Sekur ensures that commonalities are widely adopted across Aero Sekur’s External Life-raft System and External Flotation System family of products: this reduces the development & qualification timeline, associated costs and part counts.  Lower life cycle costs are also brought about by the new design, thanks to utilisation of the same maintenance policy and tools.”

New Inflatable Shelter Site

Additionally, a new Aero Sekur manufacturing site based in the Campania region of Italy is announced. The facility, which commenced operation at the end of 2014, currently employs 25 newly recruited members of staff and is focussed on the design and manufacture of inflatable shelters.  Production will initially focus on Aero Sekur’s shelter system. The Campania operation works in conjunction with the Aero Sekur subsidiary Sekur Sistemi, based in Genoa, Italy which designs and manufactures the complementary high performance mobile Environmental Control unit. The new Campania site will become a future centre of excellence for design and manufacture of Aero Sekur’s modular inflatable maintenance shelters for aircraft and helicopters.
