Follow on Google News | Two Stores. One Roof. Amarillo and Canyon Female Entrepreneurs Begin New Business Venture TogetherBy: Texas Trio and Rustic Gypsy In celebration of Texas Trio’s 10-year anniversary and the launch of the stores’ new concept, the owners are hosting an open house for their customers, friends, family and community. Celebrate with live music, an espresso bar, drinks and food. Proceeds from sales will benefit Rope For a Cure, a nonprofit organization that helps send children with Type 1 Diabetes to summer camp. Brook Campbell opened Texas Trio’s doors ten years ago. After leaving her career with a major beef industry firm, she decided to look into her idea of opening a furniture store. With a goal of bringing Texas elegance to the Great Plains, she and her friends brought the idea to life. A sophisticated Texas feel is brought into the home with their offerings of furniture and home décor. Campbell and her store don’t stop there. Clothing, boots and accessories are also a mix of the store’s concept. Decorate your home and your wardrobe with the beauty of their inspiring pieces. A savvy businesswoman, Campbell can come into your home, rework many of your existing items while accommodating your budget to create a unique look of Texas elegance. “This has become my life, but in a good way,” says Campbell. “My church groups, my babysitters and my friends have been discovered here. This store is about our relationship with people. Our customers stop in to visit even if they don’t shop.” Owned by Megan Brown, Rustic Gypsy has another location on the town square in Canyon inside the Shops at the Palace. Also offering home décor and furnishings, the Rustic Gypsy specializes in artistic design and distinctive wall finishes for homes. A mix of the old and the new, rustic and shabby chic, and a bit of wild with the tame, Brown and the Rustic Gypsy will help transform your dream home into a reality. Rustic Gypsy is also the only Annie Sloan Chalk Paint provider in the Texas Panhandle. The unique, decorative paint can easily be applied to nearly any surface inside and outside of the home providing a completely matte, velvety finish. Brown loves to use this paint for her repurposing projects. Even before it was cool, she was finding random pieces and bringing them to new life with her decorating talent. “Apart we can make it decent. Together we can create a much larger location with major impact,” says Brown. A perfect match for each other, the two stores are excited to come together under the same roof. The benefit of having the two stores in the same location is that they can offer their customers an even better shopping experience. End
