Great Lakes "BI & Big Data" Summit - Downtown Toronto

TORONTO - May 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Toronto – May 12, 2015 –On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, 150 leading technology and business professionals joined together for the 1st Annual Great Lakes Business Intelligence (BI) and Big Data Summit. The Summit, hosted by WIT, is the leading Big Data event in Toronto. Attendees learned about real-world best practices, discovered new analytic technologies, and collaborated with top executives in the industry.

The day began with a powerful keynote given by Dr. Greg Wells, President of the Wells Group. His presentation focused on “Learning from Sports to Power Business Performance.”

From there, attendees participated in their choice of 15 breakout sessions composed of customer case studies and software vendor presentations.  A wide ranging set of topics included real-world BI implementations, Data Visualization, Enterprise Data Management, Strategy, Security & Governance and technology innovations.

The day concluded with a memorable keynote by Stephen Graham, Chairman & CEO, The Graham Group.  His presentation focused on “Transformational Growth & the Role of Big Data.” During the closing remarks, many impressive prizes were distributed to the lucky winners of the Twitter, feedback, and sponsor raffles.
