Sacred Heart School sophomore Kory Turner named State Champion in Speech

KINGSTON, Mass. - May 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12, proudly announces that high school sophomore Kory Turner of Middleboro took top honors in Prose Reading at the State Speech Finals of the Massachusetts Speech & Debate League.

Turner was named “Best in the Commonwealth” at the April 11^th tournament held at Acton-Boxborough High School.

He will now go on to the Catholic Speech Nationals, slated for May in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  The speech circuit will conclude in June at the National Speech League in Dallas, Texas.

“The Prose Reading competition attracted the most entries, making Kory’s first place win even more impressive, not to mention his being a sophomore!” said Dan Sapir, Speech and Debate Coach at Sacred Heart School.  “The entire school is proud of Kory’s achievement.”
