CETUSA Seeking Host Families in Jefferson, South St Louis, St Louis County, and West County for

ST. LOUIS - May 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Council for Educational Travel, USA (CETUSA) is seeking host familiesin Jefferson, South St Louis, St Louis County, and West County to open doors to their homes, their communities, and their hearts for international high school exchange students.  Exchange students from Europe, South America, and Asia are being placed in volunteer host families for a semester or an academic year. Join the CETUSA family and step out into world like Arnold resident, host Mom and CETUSA coordinator Cathy Sherwood:

“I became a coordinator in Arnold, Missouri, because I fell in love with all the students we have hosted so far and want so much for others to experience that same joy that we, as a family, have. As a coordinator, the bonus is I get to have more than just one or two exchange students because I keep in constant contact with my host families and their students.  I get to experience the students’ joys, help them adjust, and build new friendships. What's better than making lifelong friends?”

CETUSA exchange students carry their own insurance and bring their own spending money.  Mrs. Sherwood makes the arrangements for their high school acceptance and will provide ongoing support to the students and the families throughout their program.  The students hope to be treated as one of the household and want to live the life “of a typical American teenager”.  The host families are asked to provide a bed in either a shared or private bedroom, a place for the student to study, three meals a day, and a welcoming home environment.  This is a great opportunity to share what you love about your community and the United States while also learning about a new culture and a new person.
