Charleston International Film Festival and Motel.com Partner to Co-Host a Golden Ticket Treasure Hunt in the Charleston Area This May

(Charleston, SC – May 7, 2015) Charleston International Film Festival (http://www.charlestoniff.org/) (Charleston IFF) has partnered with Motel.com for a first-ever Charleston Golden Ticket Treasure Hunt. On May 13, there will be one golden ticket—worth $1,500—hidden somewhere in the Charleston area. Charleston IFF will release a riddle on its Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CharlestonIFF?fref=ts) that morning to guide participants to the right location for the hunt.

Summer Peacher, Charleston IFF Co-Founder and President said, “We think the Golden Ticket Treasure Hunt is such a fun and unique way to not only spread the word about Charleston IFF but also to encourage locals and visitors alike to explore all our city has to offer.”

This treasure hunt is opened to the public, and the finder of the Golden Ticket will win $1,500 in cash. Participants are asked to take selfies during the course of the hunt, and the winner will be required to post a photo of the ticket on Charleston IFF’s and Motel.com’s social media outlets in order to be eligible to claim the prize.

Motel.com recently completed a Golden Ticket Treasure Hunt in the Atlanta area. Betty Sumner Miller of Woodstock, Georgia found the ticket at the Atlanta Zoo, scoring the $1,500 prize. Betty captured her moment of victory appropriately with this selfie, which she shared with Motel.com on Facebook saying, “Now I know how Charlie Bucket felt when he found the Golden Ticket! Thanks for the fun challenge Motel.com (https://www.facebook.com/motelcom)!” (Image source: Facebook)

Motel.com is excited to partner with Charleston IFF to bring the Golden Ticket Treasure Hunt to Charleston, a city that’s continuously recognized as one of the top travel destinations in the world.

Motel.com is an independent online travel site that works directly with many travel consolidators or major lodging chains to get access to their lodging inventory options at their best Internet rates.
