PCA Welcomes New President, Jeff Potts, Ed.D

ARLINGTON, Texas - May 7, 2015 - PRLog -- May 7, 2015 (Arlington, Texas)- Pantego Christian Academy's Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jeff Potts as the new President of the Academy. Dr. Potts was the unanimous choice among a field of impressive and highly qualified candidates.

"Pantego Christian Academy just celebrated 50 years of excellence in Christian education," says Board President Rick Jenkins. "It was incumbent upon us to present our families with a strong visionary whose experience and faith assure us the Academy will continue to successfully thrive in our mission of educating tomorrow's Christian leaders. As a bonus, we've found a leader in Dr. Jeff Potts who is familiar with the Academy and its strong reputation in North Texas."

Dr. Potts brings substantial executive leadership experience and an impressive history of success in Christian education. A native Texan, Potts career is a showcase of dedication to Christian education, business acumen and national leadership in the education arena. Dr. Potts holds an undergraduate degree from Baylor University, a Masters of Arts from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as well as his Masters of Education from Columbia International University.  He also completed his Doctor of Education from Liberty University.  An entrepreneur with diverse business interests, Potts has served on both the staff and administration at Grapevine Faith Christian School since 1999.

Dr. Potts says, "It's truly exciting to take on the role of President for Pantego Christian Academy. It is critical as educators we invest in the whole student- his or her academic success and his or her spiritual growth. However, my commitment extends far beyond faith-based learning.  I am driven by the desire to increase the value of the experience to families by setting high standards, building enduring relationships on behalf of the school and recruiting strong educators."

The Board polled families of enrolled students, consulted outside Christian school oversight experts and included input from a search committee before extending Dr. Potts an invitation to lead Pantego Christian Academy. Dr. Potts will assume his duties over the summer in preparation for the 2015-2016 school year. "Kristin and I are honored to join the PCA family with our three elementary boys and we look forward to having three Panther graduates one day," said Dr. Potts.
