Follow on Google News | New Chester Charity Store Appeals for VolunteersBy: The Forum Shopping Centre The national charity’s Volunteering Advisor Elizabeth Dyet said she was looking for a range of volunteers for a wide variety of roles within the new store. “We are looking for volunteers to assist in various roles including helping customers on the sales floor, as drivers collecting stock for the shop or helping behind-the-scenes to get stock ready to go on sale,” she explained. “We are also looking for help in building relationships with potential supporters in the local community and we need book enthusiasts, fashion lovers and bric-a-brac experts on hand to build a successful outlet.” Elizabeth added: “There are many reasons people volunteer with the British Heart Foundation. For some, it’s to meet new friends, whilst others want to experience new activities and gain work experience. “What bonds them is a determination to fight coronary heart disease, the UK’s single biggest killer.” Anyone interested in getting involved can call in at the shop, which is due to open on May 20th or email Elizabeth at dyete@bhf.org.uk. Forum Centre Manager Mr Lawrence Allen said: “Obviously I am delighted to be able to welcome BHF to the Forum Shopping Centre. Their new store unit is impressive and I am sure customers and charity supporters will welcome its arrival.” Further information is available from www.forumshopping.co.uk ENDS End
