World Record Holder Dr.Theivasanthi with Heavily slashed Price of Graphene

World first & lowest price – Nano-price (30 US $ / kg) of graphene by nanotechnologist
By: Theivasanthi

BANGALORE, India - May 7, 2015 - PRLog -- World record holder in nanotechnology Dr.T.Theivasanthi, a research Faculty from International Research Centre of Kalasalingam University is ready to supply graphene at “Nano-price” i.e. 30 USD per kg, approximate Indian price equal to Rs.2000/-. She tries to reduce the cost further-more, (less than 1000 INR) in accordance with the demand and supply. She commented that the higher price of graphene is the main barrier which prevents its usages at various levels of industries, so far; but this lowest price will break that barrier and will improve its industrial utilisations; mass level applications like paints, cements & concrete works will get more benefits; the entire extra-ordinary properties / benefits of this wonder material will be utilised properly; this lowest price will create a new world record. It is noted here; recently, she has invented the world’s first super-paramagnetic particles of plant materials named, “Santhi Particles” - a remarkable benchmark in the nanotechnology research field.

She said, graphene is the thinnest, lightest, strongest (stronger than high-strength steel), extremely flexible and almost totally transparent material. It has many attractive / intrinsic properties like mechanical, thermal, electrical, acoustical etc. It has high electron mobility at room temperature (250000 cm2/Vs) exceptional thermal conductivity (5000 Wm−1·K−1) and superior mechanical properties with Young’s modulus of 1 TPa. VSM analysis is the best tool to differenciate graphene from diamagnetic material graphite.

She further added that applications of graphene are myriad and some obvious including rapid-charging lithium-ion batteries, super-capacitors, printable electronics, foldable LED touch-screens, improved DNA sequencers, corrosion-resistant coatings, improved cement / concrete materials, a replacement for Kevlar, terahertz wave generators for extremely fast wireless communication, more efficient light-bulbs etc. Incorporation of small quantity of graphene fillers into polymer creates novel nano-composites with improved structural and functional properties (like electrical, physical, mechanical, and barrier properties of polymer composites at extremely low loadings) for utilisations in applications ranging from transportation, biomedical systems, sensors, electrodes for solar cells and electromagnetic interference.
