This thoroughbred writing appliance offers a beautifully simplistic design that eliminates the springs, buttons and mechanical parts found in conventional mechanical pencils, while continuing to pay homage to the traditional wooden pencils that have been used by designers, artists and students for centuries. Expected to ship in July, the PENXO Pencil is available for pre-order through Kickstarter at a discounted rate of $25 (MSRP $35) and will initially be available in two colors - Dark Black and Rebel Silver. Other features of the PENXO Pencil include:

- Quick Lead Release - Offering the fastest lead release compared to any other lead pencil, the PENXO Pencil features a center window gap which functions as a lead trigger release, which greatly increases the spped of releasing the pencil lead.

- Lead Usage Window - Since most 2mm leads have labels printed on them, the lead window on each side allows users to read the lead color, brand, hardness labels, and check the amound of lead left. No more guesswork.

- Elminates Spinning Knob Indicator - Conventional drafting pencils use a spinning knob indicator to indentify lead hardness, making the user turn the knob every time the lead is switched so you don't forget what lead you put in. PENXO elminates this inconvenient step.

- Clamp Principle - The forward cutting gap on PENXO's tip creates a pivot tension at the opposite end. This counter balance creates a clamp-like effect, providing pressure on the front tip, which secures the lead in place and prevents it from sliding out.

- Constructed "In Flight" - The construction of the PENXO Pencil demands attention. Precision milled from a single block of 6061-T651 aluminum as used in aircraft construction to construct the pencil, it offers a perfect balance of lightweight, durable and flexing properties.

- Unique Grip - Designed to contour your fingertips for a better control grip, the PENXO also features a window gap that offers airflow under the fingertips to greatly reduce sweating, creating a non-slippery grip.

- Lasts Forever - By using solid aluminum to construct the pencil, it will last for decades on end, while also addressing sustainability needs, making it highly recyclable.
