MONROE, La. - May 6, 2015 - PRLog -- In light of all of the activity between American’s youth and the system it was important to share details of the African American life in the United States of America.

In the book “Pressures of a Black Man” it gives an in-depth insight into a mentoring program which focus on issues young Africa American men face on a daily basis such as Racial Profiling, Abandonment, Violence, Police Brutality, Driving While Black (DWB), Marriage, Fatherhood, Policies, You Owe Me Syndrome (YOMS), Incarceration, Child Support, God, Role Models, Racism, Discrimination, Instructional and Institution Racism, and Affirmative Action.

This book contains several short stories about Africa American men who are connected to each other by their environment, upbringing, and their faith in God.

Rose M. Brown wrote this book after living and working in communities around the world. She also saw through the eyes of black men in her life the pain and disappointment in a system. Additional inspiration and motivation was after she heard the inspirational song titled “The Pressures Of A Black Man.”

Rose says “I am excited about my first book, because I really know that we can have a better America for all people. As a military veteran; I know that from my service to this country and from the United States liberating other countries, we can do the same here at home. Man of color should not have to suffer like they do. We, the United States, are better than that. This book will give positive solutions to the problems our local and national leaders are facing, leaders from the local block captain to our leadership in the White House. I know that we have the will as a country to bring about positive change.”
