BOULDER, Colo. - May 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Realigning the boundaries of three of its sales territories, SCARPA North America this week also added two new teams to its veteran outdoor industry sales force. The changes are designed, in part, around supporting SCARPA’s ongoing growth in the rock shoe and climbing categories, where the brand has evolved in recent years with a number of industry leading technologies and products, particularly its innovative active rand technology in rock shoes.

“We’re excited about these developments with SCARPA’s sales force, because these teams bring such a depth of knowledge in climbing, as well as in all other areas of outdoor, and their many decades of experience align incredibly well with areas of focus and growth for SCARPA,” said Mark Mathews, Director of Sales at SCARPA North America.

In the Midwest territory, SCARPA added Michigan, Ohio and Indiana (formerly part of Great Lakes) to a territory that already included Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and the Dakotas. In addition, SCARPA added new representation in that territory with Figure 8 Sales, headed by James Loveridge. Figure 8 Sales also represents Petzl, Sierra Designs, Leki and Outdoor Tech.

“James has a great depth of knowledge and experience in the outdoor and climbing business, and he’s an avid climber as well, which makes him a great fit for SCARPA as we continue to grow that segment of our business,” said Mark Mathews, Director of Sales at SCARPA North America.

In New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions, SCARPA combined two previously separate territories and added new representation with the All Mountain Group, comprised of industry veterans Russ Clune, Al Diamond, Tyler Merritt, Erik Mushial, Dave Rosenstein and Kevin Mahoney. The All Mountain Group will cover Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Along with SCARPA, its team also represents Black Diamond, Gregory, Jetboil, Pieps, Eureka and Silva.

“With a combined industry experience of more than 120 years, the All Mountain team clearly understands the outdoor, ski, and climbing business at a very high level and brings a wealth of climbing experience with them to SCARPA,” Mathews said. “We’re fortunate to have them join the SCARPA family, and we know that will mean expert sales, service and support to our customers in that part of the country.”

In the Southeast, Kentucky (formerly part of SCARPA’s Great Lakes territory) will be added to the area represented by Lee Means, who also represents Metolius, Krieg and Wigwam, among other brands.

“Kentucky will be in great hands with Lee. He’s been doing an outstanding job for us in both the outdoor and climbing segments of our business, and he’s in Kentucky often for his other brands, so this is a great fit and a natural change,” Mathews said.
