Long Beach City FC Joins Expanding United Premier Soccer League

TORRANCE, Calif. - May 4, 2015 - PRLog -- May 4, 2015 – Torrance, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (www.upslsoccer.com) today announced today its newest member to the Western Conference, Long Beach City FC. The newly formed club which is a Long Beach community based soccer team, looks to make an immediate impact in the upcoming May 2015 UPSL season. Long Beach City FC will be coached by Miguel Herrera who last year was assistant coach for the L.A. Wolves (UPSL) First team and Head coach of the L.A. Wolves Reserves.

Long Beach City FC General Manager Mario Benacourt said, “Long Beach City FC is one of the first professionally established soccer clubs representing the city of Long Beach at a high level. We are very excited to be a part of a dynamic league as we been looking for this type of promotion-relegation league structure for a long time. We will be a very competitive club and hope to provide our community with very entertaining futbol. We know that joining the UPSL will give us a great opportunity and at the same time will challenge our players to a professional and competitive level. With that being said, we are excited to be a member of the UPSL and look forward to many exciting matches and cup tournaments with some of the other great UPSL teams."
