NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - May 4, 2015 - PRLog -- The Newport Beach personal injury law firm of Bisnar Chase has distributed 800 child safety kits at John H. Eader Elementary School in Huntington Beach through Safe-Children.Org, a national nonprofit safety advocacy group.

Each of these child safety kits includes forms to document each child's medical and personal information such as allergies and medications, blood type, height, weight, hair and eye color, birth date, a dental chart for primary and secondary teeth, a 10-finger fingerprint chart with a safe, non-toxic ink strip, instructions for getting a DNA hair sample with a heavy gauge storage bag.

Bisnar Chase is pleased to have an opportunity to participate in this program, which provides children and families with the information and tools they need to stay educated, informed and most importantly, prepared for an emergency situation, said Senior Partner Brian Chase.

"We understand that a child's safety may never really be guaranteed, these child safety kits can greatly help reduce the risks that many families face. This information will allow families to take a proactive role in educating their children while preparing for an emergency situation, should it arise."

In addition, the kit has comprehensive safety tips and a chart to document any unique physical features. These kits are routinely used by thousands of law enforcement and government agencies around the country including the New York Police Department and the U.S. National Coast Guard.

According to Safe-Children.Org, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) receives more than 2,100 reports of missing children each and every day. Close to 360,000 children are abducted every year in the United States, which means close to 1,000 children are abducted every day.

Experts say parents can and should take two important steps to minimize the chances of becoming a statistic – educating their children and preparing themselves in the event of an emergency. One of the best ways to be proactive and prepare is by keeping accurate and up-to-date records of their children in a secure location. In the event of an emergency such as an abduction, every second counts, and being able to quickly provide vital information about your child to law enforcement officials can be extremely critical.

Janette Jafary, program coordinator with Safe-Children.Org said Bisnar Chase's contribution "will play a vital role in educating and protecting the children within your community. "

"It takes a special type of person and a special company to reach out to their community, in the way that you have. Bisnar Chase has played an instrumental role in helping to keep the children within the community safe and well informed."
