Follow on Google News | Sophie’s Gallery Announces Open Call Art Submission for 2015 Bountiful Art ShowThe annual juried art show will be held August 7-31, 2015 with a reception on opening night
By: St. Madeleine Sophie's Center Artists are allowed to submit up to 5 pieces of original and for-sale work, no reproduction prints will be accepted. Media acceptable for submission include works on paper, paintings, photography, mixed media, jewelry, sculpture, wall sculpture, printmaking and fiber arts. Artwork should not exceed 60 inches vertically or horizontally and must be suitable for family-friendly viewing. This year Christine Knoke, Director of Exhibitions and Chief Curator at the Mingei International Museum, will judge the event, taking place at Sophie’s Gallery in El Cajon. Up to $1000 in cash prizes are available for winners, along with a solo exhibition for the first-place entry. Prizes available include, $500 and a solo exhibition for entry selected as Best of Show, $300 for the second place entry and $200 for third place. Notification of acceptance into the show will be sent to applicants by July 13, 2015.
