PHILADELPHIA - May 4, 2015 - PRLog -- For many Americans, late spring and early summer make up the traditional wedding season.  What better time to get a unique keepsake to give to a happy couple as an ever-present reminder of their wedding day?

Keepsake Carpets has created an unusual kind of artwork that can be individualized for any couple – gay, lesbian, or straight.

Using carpet fragments cut into the shapes of male and female symbols (also known as Mars and Venus symbols), these framed items can include photographs and text with a couple's name and the date of their wedding ceremony or any other message, such as a poetic verse or favorite quotation.

These elegant art pieces demonstrate unity, pride and allegiance while adding personalized flair to your home's décor. Beautifully executed and presented, Keepsake Carpets make unique gifts that recipients will treasure for years to come.

Not only will these carpet keepsakes show your pride and celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQ community with beautiful, handcrafted artwork, they can be personalized with your own picture and message. Custom sizes are available.

In addition to wedding keepsakes, carpet art works come in other themes, as well: cancer survivor, alternate life style, Masonic, fraternity and sorority (Greek letters), family, and religious.

This unusual form of carpet design work began in 1994 when the owner of Keepsake Carpets, Anthony Hudgins, dyed the names of his children on a carpet mat. His children kept those carpet mats through middle school and high school. “In fact,” he says, “if they weren’t so worn out they would have taken them to college.” This display of personal attachment by his children led Hudgins to explore different ways a personal connection could be made through custom designed carpets.

Headquartered in central New Jersey and recently featured in the Philadelphia Gay News, Keepsake Carpets are now available across the United States and around the world at www.keepsakecarpets.com.
