May is Members Month with San Diego Writers, Ink: Increased Programming and Discounts

May 2, 2015 - PRLog -- May is the month that San Diego Writers, Ink (SDWI) wants to celebrate its members! With membership discounts and month long programming for members, this is a great month to renew your commitment to the organization.

“SDWI is for people who are writing,” explains Kim Keeline, Membership and Communications Director at SDWI. “Some of our members are published already, others are just starting out.  A number of our members’ books are a product of their time with us–in prompt groups, read and critique groups, workshops, and conferences.  We are proud of all that our members accomplish, and we celebrate their membership with some extra perks each May.”

To celebrate Members Month, Writers Ink is offering the following:

The regular yearly membership is $35 but for the month of May, members can renew for only $25.

Every drop-in writing group (Brown Bag, Thursday Writers, Writers By the Beach, East County Writers, and La Jolla Writers) will raffle off one free membership during the month.

Extra Room to Write hours on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1 to 4 p.m.  (In addition to the regular hours, which are Tuesday and Friday from 9 to 11:45 a.m.)

On Friday, May 22 from 7 to 11 p.m. join a special Late Night Write session to connect with other writers in working on their manuscripts.  (We will also raffle off a membership during this session.)

You’ll also want to learn how the Scrivener software can help build your manuscript. A drop-in tutorial will take place on May 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. for $5.
