Follow on Google News | Attention Empowered Women In North Los Angeles County: Build Homes For Veterans With Habitat!The Women Empowerment Build (WE Build) honors female veterans and women in non-traditional roles while providing an opportunity to learn construction techniques in a supportive environment. Many of this year’s participants are female veterans and family members who will be moving into the community. All WE Build participants will help build Habitat for Humanity SF/SCV’s 78-home Enriched Neighborhood® This service-enriched veteran community has been piloted by Habitat for Humanity SF/SCV and adopted by the California Department of Veterans Affairs as a CalVet REN (Residential Enriched Neighborhood) There are still a few spots remaining for the final WE Build event on May 9th. Registration is $40 per person and includes a t-shirt, pink hard hat, continental breakfast, lunch, and there will even be a Power Tool Demonstration by volunteers from the Lowe’s E. Santa Clarita store.
