Photographer Jay Sullivan explores the creative and psychological processes behind his exhibit, "Glove - The Emotional Core of Objects"

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - May 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Exhibiting artist Jay Sullivan will give a free gallery talk about his exhibit, Glove- The Emotional Core of Objects, on Saturday, May 16th from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster. The exhibit remains through May 23, 2015.

Jay began Glove seeking to reconnect with his long estranged and deceased father by photographing the childhood objects that he most associated with him.  Over time it became a journey into the emotional core of these objects, unearthing the feelings and memories associated with a briefcase, wingtip shoes, zippo lighter, baseball glove and many other long forgotten items. In this one hour talk, he will discuss the creative and psychological processes explored while creating Glove and how they led to the reconciliation of a father and son relationship almost 50 years after it was severed.

This event is offered free of charge to the public. Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended by calling The Center for Contemporary Art at (908) 234-2345. The Center is located at 2020 Burnt Mills Road in Bedminster, N.J. www.ccabedminster.org
