About the CERN LHC:

The CERN LHC is a Large Hadron Collider. The LHC is the largest, most expensive and most energy-consuming machine

ever built by mankind. It might well be also the most dangerous one, specially now, as the CERN LHC will be turned on

again with increased collision power. Currently the LHC has to be repaired. A short circuit has delayed reactivation of the

“God Machine” (the Spanish press calls the LHC “La maquina de Dios”). A security assessment has been conducted by the

CERN in 2007 by it’s own staff, but this assessment is not deemed valid anymore and a new security assessment is required

before the next collision to prove that the LHC is safe.
