Child Abuse Prevention Center Raises $160,000 to Help Children Threatened by Family Violence

ANAHEIM, Calif. - April 30, 2015 - PRLog -- The Child Abuse Prevention Center, Orange County’s leading not-for-profit exclusively aimed at preventing child abuse, hosted its 17^th Annual Bright Futures Celebration on April 18, 2015 at the Island Hotel, Newport Beach, California.  Nearly 300 business and community leaders joined together to raise $160,000 to prevent child abuse for at-risk families living in Orange County.

Celebrities and community leaders in attendance included Senator John Moorlach; Richard Mirman, CEO and publisher of the OC Register; Matt Scioscia, son of Mike Scioscia of the Los Angeles Angels, and Darryl Evans of the LA Kings.

Featured auction packages included: 7-night stay in a villa in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico; a one-week stay in a beautiful Carmel studio overlooking Big Sur Coast; a shopping spree and private dinner at Black, Starr & Frost; an in-home dining experience with wine pairing for eight from David Wilhelm, iconic local chef-restaurateur; and a pair of Lakers’ official team shoes signed by Kobe Bryant with two tickets to a Lakers game.
