The Balancing Act goes on location to HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital, one of 110 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in HealthSouth’s nationwide network,to talk with Dexanne Clohan, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at HealthSouth, and Cheryl Miller, DrOT, National Director of Therapy Operations. HealthSouth provides rehabilitative care to patients who have been in a general acute-care hospital for some type of injury or illness such as stroke or brain injury, but aren’t ready to go home yet. This segment, the second in a 4-part “Health Matters” series takes a look at how physical rehabilitation works, and the types of patients who can benefit from it.
