Follow on Google News | Planners Designed for Indie PerformersAvoid Costly Mistakes and Take Control of the Business Side of Music
By: Yvonne Betancourt The Tour planner provides a pre-tour section that will help focus the planning efforts and sections for 30 shows with the details from each show and each city. The Gig Planner is meant for the revenue and expenses musicians will have month to month. Plus sections for 30 shows performed in their own city or nearby cities, but that would not be considered a tour. Finally, on the other side of the coin there is the Booking Planner, which will help local promoters who organize the shows. The needs will be different and the Planner will reflect that with different sections including details for each show. The series of Planners have been in development for several months with direct input from bands and promoters. The prevalent comment has been the importance of the different Merch Inventory lists and the fact that each show has its own section making it easy to keep details as historical information. In order to take this project to the next level, a Kickstarter campaign has started with a reward system that will allow the majority of musicians to get their hands on at least one of the planners with a contribution as small as $1.00. About Yvonne Betancourt Yvonne Betancourt is a fan, she is the one who will show up early, pay the cover, buy merch, buy music, promote shows and local bands. She is also one of those people who can't live without lists and appointment calendars next to her. The idea behind the planners began with a "Wouldn't it be cool if.....?", after seeing the reaction and feedback from musicians the idea grew. Now she is launching a Kickstarter campaign that will help her take the planners to the next level so she can leave the gray cubicle corporate world and have more time to go to shows. End
