SAN FRANCISCO - April 29, 2015 - PRLog -- FluidRay RT, the real-time 3D rendering software, published v1.1.4 of its popular software today. The latest version gives users better control of assets, time-saving features, and lighter files. There are also a host of improvements under the hood.

“With this release, we took a step back and looked for ways to make using FluidRay RT more intuitive. We took suggestions from our users and developed easier methods for manipulating, editing and importing everything you need for a great 3D rendering,” said Nicola Candussi, one of the owner’s and lead engineer on FluidRay.

With ease of use in mind, the team ended up making several enhancements to work processes like the ability to specify a background image in the renderer, and an improved object manipulators for better placement of objects in scenes.

The team also thought more about speed. While the new version is faster overall, special attention was given to speeding up the SketchUp integration, and the size of application files were reduced by up to a third. Because of the upgrades, users will find FluidRay RT faster to start, run and render.

The team also didn’t forget about one of the most popular elements of FluidRay RT – the materials library. Version 1.1.4 introduces the Glossy Diffuse material, and the Glossy Diffuse Translucent version of it, which will make rendering organic materials much easier.

According to Alberto Candussi, co-founder of FluidRay RT, “This release is a comprehensive upgrade of all the parts of FluidRay. You’ll discover improvements to how things look and how they work, but also a lot of new possibilities."
