Whole Wide World Toys Launches First In A Series Of World Village Playsets

HERSHEY, Pa. - April 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Whole Wide World Toys celebrates the unique people, customs and traditions of China with the launch of its first World Village Playset. Created by Laura Barta, company founder and mother of two, World Village Playsets are designed to help kids develop a healthy curiosity about the world around them through creative play.

World Village Playset – China features richly detailed, heirloom-quality components, including a soft fabric playmat with beautiful illustrations, a 32-page color story and activity book and more than a dozen story cards to boost storytelling. Ideal for smaller hands, the set’s chunky, painted wood puzzle pieces feature people and objects seen in China. According to Barta, the mission of Whole Wide World Toys is to teach kids about world cultures through creative play and to prepare them for lives that will include a variety of people from around the world.

Ideal for children and families who travel, classrooms or adoptive families with a child of Chinese descent, World Village Playset – China is focused on the story of Emma and Joe, a brother and sister traveling in China. The story and activity book provides information about life in China, including interesting foods, places, customs and activities. Each puzzle piece is identified in both Mandarin and English for language familiarity. Story cards are included to promote storytelling. The soft fabric playmat doubles as a colorful wall tapestry, with two loops for hanging.

A Deluxe Companion Pack is also available separately (SRP $39.99). The extra-large stand-up pieces extend the imaginative and multidimensional play experience. For example, character figures can ride up the canal in their boat, play behind the open doors and windows of the canal house, or sell kites, candy and snacks to their customers through the window of a colorful storefront.
