WASHINGTON - April 27, 2015 - PRLog -- On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, Daystar Television Network made history by broadcasting “Washington – A Man of Prayer” – the first religious broadcast ever made from inside Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol. On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, Daystar will again be exclusively broadcasting “Washington – A Man of Prayer” from Statuary Hall as members of Congress gather together to honor the 226th inaugural anniversary of President George Washington.

Now in its fourth consecutive year, “Washington – A Man of Prayer” commemorates the events of April 30, 1789, when George Washington, after being sworn into office at Federal Hall, traveled to St. Paul’s Chapel, and in one of his first acts as President of the United States offered a prayer to God on behalf of America.

Orchestrated and emceed by Rev. Dan Cummins and Dr. Jim Garlow, Pastor of Skyline Church in San Diego, CA, the ceremony will feature a variety of guest speakers, including House Speaker John Boehner, U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry Black, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, Senator James Lankford, Representative Randy Forbes, and Chaplain Fr. Patrick Conroy of the US House of Representatives, among others. Special patriotic and spiritual music will be performed by Keith and Kristyn Getty, Steve Amerson and The National Christian Choir.

While the ceremony is exclusively for members of Congress, it will also be available to the world via Daystar Television Network, who will be broadcasting the event on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, 8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. EST.

“Daystar is honored to air “Washington – A Man of Prayer” in celebration of the 226th anniversary of George Washington’s inauguration,” says Marcus Lamb, President and CEO of Daystar Television Network. “It is so important that we come together and pray for our nation, now more than ever before, which is why we are thrilled to air such an event. Please make plans to tune in and join Congress in prayer for America.”
